Two terrorists killed in eastern Turkey

The clash took place in a remote region of the province of Van close to the border with Iran.

VAN - Two members of the terrorist group the PKK were killed late Tuesday in clashes with the Turkish security forces, officials said Wednesday.

According to officials in the eastern province of Van, teams from the paramilitary Gendarme located a group of terrorists in the Caldiran region of Van late Tuesday. A firefight followed and two of the group were killed, they said.

Officials also said that operations in the region to cut off and capture the remaining members of the group were continuing.
